We collect your personal data as a representative of a participating school if you have shared it with us on your own accord via the registration form on our website. We then capture the information that is transmitted as part of the registration process. This includes in particular names and transmitted contact data, address data and other data required for the implementation of the program.
The personal data collected from you will be used to check your registration and for the subsequent implementation of the program (legal basis Art. 6 para. 1b GDPR). In addition, we process your data to fulfill legal obligations (legal basis Art. 6 para. 1c GDPR) or on the basis of legitimate interests of us or third parties (legal basis Art. 6 para. 1f GDPR), e.g. in connection with conducting surveys to evaluate the program. For the publication of your personal data on our website and for future information on further events, we ask for your consent (legal basis Art. 6 para. 1a GDPR).
You are not obliged to provide the aforementioned personal data. The data is necessary for the participation in Meet-a-German and without it the coordination and your participation in Meet-a-German cannot take place.
A transfer of your personal data takes place on the basis of legal provisions or a contractual agreement to public bodies in the presence of overriding legal provisions, to external service providers or other contractors and to other external bodies, insofar as you have given your consent or a transfer is permissible for predominant interest. In this context, we intend to transfer data to a third country (USA) for the purpose of implementing the program.
The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required to achieve the purpose for which it was collected. This is the case at the end of the following year. (Unless you have consented that we may contact you again if the program is organized in future.)
